About us

The Iraqi League for Bone and Joint Health (ILBJH) was founded on 26 of November 2013, as the professional organization of Rheumatologists in Iraq. It strives to propagate and consolidate rheumatology in Iraq. The league is a member of the Arab League Association for Rheumatology (ArLAR), the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR), Pan Arab Osteoporosis Society (PAOS) and International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF). ILBJH promotes a high-educational standards by holding regular high quality educational events and regular scientific workshops throughout the year in different parts of the country. Many papers, posters and research (both basic science and clinical) are published in the international journals by the members of the league.

ILBJH works relentlessly to collaborate with the Ministry of Health to facilitate the implementation of best practices in rheumatology guidelines and recommendations.

Objectives

  1. To help rheumatologists raise their standards at all healthcare levels. 

  2. To support access to the clinical guidance and providing the necessary information for better Rheumatology care.

  4. Inspiring young Rheumatologists to be involved and committed to continuing medical educational activities such as (workshops, webinars, training), in addition to take energetic part in scientific research on rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases
